This policy explains what Valixp LLC (“VALIXP”) collects when you use valixp.com or our app, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It covers homeowners who book work and contractors who perform it.

What we collect

You give us: your name, email, phone number, service address, and the details of the job you’re requesting. Contractors also give us business name, Hawaii contractor license number, GE Tax license number (GET ID), insurance details, and payout account information.

Created during a job: work order entries, scheduling and appointment data, messages and notes, change orders, photos and videos attached to updates, invoices, ratings and comments, and the record of payments and refunds.

Communications: delivery records for the texts and emails we send you, and call records and voicemail through our masked calling bridge. Those calls may be recorded for quality and dispute resolution.

Automatically: basic device and browser information, pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, and error logs. We use this to keep the site working and to diagnose problems.

Payment details. Card numbers are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor. VALIXP never sees or stores your full card number — we keep only a token, the card brand, and the last four digits so you can recognize the card on file.

How we use it

  • Price your request, assign a suitable licensed contractor, and schedule the work.
  • Send job updates, arrival notices, confirmations, and receipts by text, email, or push.
  • Connect calls between you and your contractor without exposing personal phone numbers.
  • Take deposits and final payments, issue refunds, and pay contractors.
  • Verify contractor licensing, insurance, and GET registration.
  • Handle ratings, follow-up on service issues, and resolve disputes.
  • Detect fraud and abuse, keep accounts secure, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t rent your contact list to anyone.

Who we share it with

Your assigned contractor receives what they need to do the job: your name, service address, job details, scheduling, and a masked way to reach you. Your card details are never shared with contractors.

Customers see the assigned contractor’s business name and job updates. Contractors’ personal phone numbers and private cost entries are not shown to customers.

Service providers that run parts of the service on our behalf: Stripe (payments and contractor payouts), our hosting and database provider, and the Multraverse platform, which delivers our texts, email, push notifications, calendar sync, and masked calling. They may use the data only to provide those services to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect someone’s safety, or in connection with a sale or merger of the business.

Cookies we use

Essential cookies keep the site working — saving your cookie choice and keeping you signed in. Optional cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, and only run after you accept them in the banner. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies from that banner; to change your choice later, clear this site’s storage in your browser settings and reload the page.

How long we keep it

Account and job records — including work orders, invoices, and payment history — are kept while your account is active and for at least 7 years after a job, which is what our tax, warranty, and Hawaii GET obligations require. Call recordings and voicemail are kept for 12 months. Diagnostic and event logs are cleared after 90 days. When we no longer need something, we delete it or anonymize it.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by role, and photos attached to work orders are stored in a private bucket reachable only through short-lived signed links. Accounts are confirmed with a 6-digit code. No system is perfect, but we take security seriously and will notify you if a breach affects your information.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your details anytime in your account profile. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of non-essential messages, or use the unsubscribe link in marketing email. Job-critical notices may still reach you by another channel.

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@valixp.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Some records we’re legally required to keep, like invoices and tax records, can’t be deleted on request.

Children

VALIXP is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we’ll remove it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here with an updated date. Questions about your information? Email info@valixp.com or call (808) 309-9397.
